October 9 is always difficult for John Lennon fans. If the events of 1980 had not occurred, it’s likely he would still be alive today, being a father, interacting with fans, making music and having lovely relationships with Paul and Ringo again. It’s normal that when people we love die we think of the endless possibilities they could have had for their future. We need to focus on the fact that he lived for 40 years. Remember what he gave us. His voice literally changed the lives and futures of millions of people. On John Lennon’s birthday, as well as the day he died, we have to stop fixating on the fact that we lost him but that we HAD him. The Universe gave us John Lennon for 40 years. He is remembered by millions of people each day and he remains part of our consciousness and humanity. For these reasons he will live for eternity even though his body is no longer here. We love John and I’m sure he knows it. Keep radiating love to him rather than sadness because he will feel it and smile wherever he is with George. Send love to them both. Think of it this way; Paul, Ringo and Yoko will see him soon. Sean and Julian will see him someday. And so will you.
